Antawn Jamison Dunks on Kevin Garnett

    By Jamie Mottram | April 10, 2008

I’ve lavished a lot of praise on Wiz stars Gilbert and Caron, and even rookies Nick Young and O-Pech, but, after posting 27 and 11 to take the season series from Boston, let’s shine a light on the team MVP, Mr. Jamison. Here he is, uncharacteristically dunking on KG:

Posterized, son! Not quite NY on LeBron, but still. Dunking isn’t what Antawn does, so this one is special.

As it stands, the Wiz are one game up on Philly for the No. 5 seed with four to play. Here’s to hoping they hang on, because a fully loaded rematch with Jesus Bron Bron would be staggering.

Update: Post-jump comments on Wiz-Celts from KD’s Behind the Boxscore.

All of Washington’s starters and rotation parts are back in the game, Antawn Jamison only missed two games with a sprained shoulder (who does that?), and the Wizards are still kicking Boston’s tail.

The Celtics weren’t expending their best effort in the fourth quarter, but why is that? Is it because they know Washington has their number? That they match up too well? That a win wasn’t in the cards?

For a team like the Celtics, who have to know that Washington has now won three straight against the C’s and is a likely second round matchup, that’s a strange way to go about things.

With all do respect, he didn’t dunk on KG. He may have drove around KG and dunked on Kendrick Perkins and his giant body/midget head.

I hear ya, but KG was guarding him, or was at least trying to.

Sick move and dunk. Twan was on fire last night. I was equally impressed with Twan actually Ding KG up a few times.

Amare Stoudamire had an amazing And one Dunk on Tim Duncan last night. I am too lazy to go through Red Lasso but it was nasty.

With all due respect, since Kevin Garnett was responsible for guarding Jamison, the dunk by AJ came on KG’s watch…and thus, ON Garnett.

Now, I will give you that AJ did not dunk OVER Garnett.
