Let’s Go Caps!!!!11!1!!!1!

That headline isn’t even forced excitement (note: that’s only half true). The Caps officially locked up a playoff spot over the weekend (suck it, Carolina) for the first time since ‘03, and we are absolutely stoked out of our skulls for one main reason: They’re playing Philly in the first round. I believe Jamie’s reaction to this was along the lines of “fuck and yes.”
Again, we won’t pretend to know a whole lot about this team, and we know absolutely nothing about the opponent, but we do know that the Caps are on some sort of historic roll right now, having won 11 of their last 12 games. And they have the best player in the league. Plus, it’s our understanding the new netminder, Cristobel Huet, is quite good at stopping pucks.
But above all else, the Caps have quite possibly the greatest death rock fight song of all-times. It’s appropriately titled “LET’S GO CAPS,” because, well, those are pretty much the only words in the entire song. Give it a listen and then try to tell me your amped levels aren’t through the roof. Electric guitars + loud chanting = God, Philly is so fucked.
The series starts Friday night in Washington.

I can name at least two players in that photo, not including the one whose name is reflecting in the glass. Also, Boudreau is priceless.

The Caps will do fine against Philly. Huet will most likely lead this team to the 3rd round(in my opinion he is what turned this team around). Get to know your team! They might take it all. I guess in the pain I am feeling of the Canes choking BIG TIME, I am pulling for the Caps. That way everyone else can just shut the fuck up about the SE Division sucking. We do have 2 of the last 3 cups!
