Derrick Rose Has His ‘Oh Shit’ Moment
By Chris Mottram | April 6, 2008
Will Brinson, my weekend man over at The Sporting Blog, posted this video last night, but it’s so damn hilarious that it warrants mention here as well. Here’s D-Rose, on live television, reacting well to a reporter’s question:
I’m still having trouble figuring out what exactly he was saying “oh shit” about. Did he just realize he left the oven on? Or that it’s the 5th and he hasn’t paid rent?
No, as Brinson points out, Rose doesn’t “oh shit” the same petty stuff that normal humans do. Rose’s “oh shit” was displaying how humble the freshman is despite being the future No. 1 pick. Rose was actually upset that yet another reporter was asking his teammates about his greatness, as opposed to the team’s. And of all the people to ask, Joey Dorsey probably was a bad choice seeing as he was the MVP of the game, despite scoring zero points.
Of course, that Jersey accent probably did help things either.
