It’s Okay to Be Envious of Andy Roddick

Today’s news has officially and permanently solidified Roddick’s spot atop my All-Envy Team: He is engaged to Brooklyn Decker (via With Leather). You know, the 20 year-old, impossibly hot SI swimsuit model. Here’s a refresher:
Andy, you could never win any grand slams for the rest of your career (and don’t worry, we aren’t expecting you to), and you’d still walk away as the big winner. Especially compared to this guy. Congrats.

Roddick made my all-envy team … four years ago. Since then his game slipped but he got engaged to Brooklyn, so I suppose he retains his spot.

You do know that Brooklyn is a Charlotte product, right? She’s from Matthews, was discovered at Southpark Mall.

Actually, I was told Brooklyn was from Pineville. Same difference, I guess. Either way she is from “down yonder.”
