The ‘Dallas Blows, Eagles Swallow’ Fitted
By Chris Mottram | March 23, 2008
Meet our youngest brother’s friend Los. Los speaks five languages fluently, loves the Redskins with an unmatched passion, and enjoys insinuating that opposing NFL teams engage in homosexual acts:

We met Los in Wise, Virginia this weekend while partying with college kids and various laid-back country folk. So you know, Los informed me that this hat is an absolute one-of-a-kind. See, it’s an officially licensed NFL product, which means retailers are not to alter it. But you show me the type of guy who’d wear a “Dallas Blows, Eagles Swallow” hat, and I’ll show you a man with connections at your local mall’s Lids.
Another hat-related fashion statement seen for the first time in Wise this weekend: Bill Grillz. The local gas station/grocery store/Friday night hang-out was slanging these for $13.99, which seemed slightly ridiculous for a piece of plastic with a sticker on it. But then again, in a southwestern Virginia market saturated with truck nuts, you simply cannot put a price on being the first guy to show up at the shooting range with a blinged-out Corona bill.

Ha! The closest thing to a mall in Wise County is the Super Wal-Mart, which serves as the local social scene. And your choices of lids there are among: A) Virginia Tech; B) UVA; C) Tennessee; or D) Dale Earnhart Jr. Your brother may be the only person in Wise County that is aware there is such a thing as professional basketball. If it weren’t for Carroll Dale being a local, they wouldn’t have a clue the NFL existed either. Hope you loaded up on some ’shine to take back to the “city folk.” I just hope you didn’t get a hold of one of those batches that have been spreading blindness throughout the area!

Oh yeah, there are definitely no mall’s anywhere near Wise. This beautiful fitted was purchased in Tysons.
