Yeah, I’ve Got a Perfect Bracket. Jealous?
By Jamie Mottram | March 21, 2008
Thanks in part to D.C. Sports Bog’s tips, Chris’ Sports Blog’s advice and KenPom’s stats, I now, for the first time ever, am in possession of the perfect bracket following Day 1 of the Tournament. True, I only picked one kinda sorta upset — 11th-seeded Kansas State over 6th-seeded USC — to get there, but I’m there nonetheless. And it’s glorious (though it really is too bad about Mason).
Also, our apologies that Mr. I has been more dormant this week than usual. If it’s Madness blogstuffs you’re after, Chris and I are varying degrees of responsible for what’s happening over at The Sporting Blog and The Dagger. So there’s that. And go American, beat Tennessee.
(The headline here is a vague reference to Amy Poehler’s one-legged SNL skit which was probably gotten by 1% of our reading audience, which is to mean it was gotten by me.)

Whoa! Mike Wise let you draw a bracket on his head?

Actually, that’s Mike Wise’s little brother.

I’ve also got a perfect bracket for the first time ever, and everyone’s response has been, “Well, there haven’t really been any upsets.”
But isn’t the fact that “there haven’t really been any upsets” in and of itself an upset? An upset that we predicted?
We rule.

That might be my favorite Amy Poehler skit of all time.
And bragging about a perfect bracket is soooo aggressive and jinx worthy. You better not have Davidson going deep.
