Lastings Blasts This Spring’s Longest HR
By Jamie Mottram | March 18, 2008
Chris touts it over Gchat — “HR, Lastings! … crushed that shit. he’s good at hitting fastballs” — and Barry Svrluga hails it on Nationals Journal — “longest homer by a Nat this spring” — so let’s go ahead and post the RedLasso clip.
“Into the parking lot” power is a rare and fascinating commodity indeed. Let’s just hope that with curveball, bats are not afraid.
By the way, Capitol Punishment projects Milledge to hit 17 of these — just home runs, not moon shots — to go along with an .825 OPS. I’d take that.

Told you he crushed that shit. Also from that game was Da Meat Hook leaping over the Tigers’ first baseman to avoid what would’ve been an ugly collision. It was quite graceful.

I can’t wait to take him five rounds too early in my fantasy draft tomorrow.

The kid is crazy talented, plus it’s a lock we’ll get to see him throw down with Billy Wagner the first time they face each other and Wagner throws at him.

Wagner vs. Milledge would be a great fight, though I’ll take the well-built gentlemen from Ferrum every time.
