Nick Johnson Is Playing With His Hair
By Jamie Mottram | March 11, 2008
Nats’ Comeback Player of the Year candidate Nick Johnson’s balding pate has morphed into something mullet-esque, so teammates Austin Kearns and Paul Lo Duca are asking fans “how Nick should do his hair.” Helping the cause is the Post’s Barry Svrluga, who’s running a poll with answers such as “blonde tips” and “shave lightning bolts.” Sadly, “Russell Westbrook” and “Osiris Eldridge” are left off the ballot.

As Svrluga notes, the lightning bolts are winning, and that’s probably a good choice. Let’s just hope NJ’s a good sport about it, goes through with the cut and poses for pictures. (See you forever, Nick!) Let’s also hope he gets back to his ‘06, pre-broken leg form, when he posted the 3rd-best OBP in the NL.
