Airballing Free Throws Is Embarrassing

Duke lost yet again tonight, this time to Miami. Although Duke made it close in the end (only losing by one, which I’d imagine makes it more painful), at one point in the second-half Miami was up by 20 points.
But being down by 20 wasn’t the low point for Duke in the game. No, that distinction would go to DeMarcus Nelson hitting nothing but air on the front end of a one-and-one:
Even Billy Packer is impressed.
All this, of course, is just to distract us from the fact that Maryland lost to Virginia Tech tonight (again) after leading the first 36 minutes of the game.
