Dikembe Mutombo Is Dressed for Sex

I’m a big fan of the Dunk Contest, and Saturday night’s edition was no letdown. Loved the Cupcake dunk. The Superman too. Same with the Self-Oop and Behind-the-Glass dunks. Dwight Howard is a deserving champion, and Gerald Green a worthy adversary. Jamario Moon has potential, and Rudy Gay is a steaming pile for taking Nick Young’s place and boring the hell out of us (Skeets ranks every dunk 1 through 12, btw).
Making it all the better was the presence of Dikembe Mutombo, Dunk Contest hype man since ‘92. Bless his soul, not only for humanitarian work the world over, but also for making this annual spectacle that much more ridiculous. I could sex this man.

I was in elementary school when Dikembe came out in the draft. We happened to be learning about the magic of letter writing at the time, and each of us was to pick a famous person we admired to be the recipient of our letter. I sent Dikembe a flowery letter and I received an autographed copy of his rookie card.
