Michael Jordan Is Still Floating in Mid-Air
By Jamie Mottram | February 6, 2008
This is one of my all-time faves: ‘87-88 Fleer All-Star MJ. The ‘88 dunk contest changed the game forever, and this specific jam is the most famous of all FT-line jams. Like most images of historic achievement, the spectators don’t seem to be witnessing anything special, at least during that moment before silence erupts in disbelief. Two more things about this card that rule: 1) Fleer’s design is tighter than hell. 2) The back — after the jump — shows that season’s top scorers, nine of whom are HOFers and three of whom were in that dunk contest. Those were the days.

Nique’ never gets the credit he deserves because of that arrogant, gravity-defying lame.

Here, here on the understated dunk contest item above. Grow up, Kobe.
