Mottram All Over the Web: BallHype, etc.

    By Jamie Mottram | January 21, 2008

gibbs-gatorade.jpgA quick one to inform you of some things I’m involved in on far-off sites …

    1. Contributed to BallHype’s What If … History Weren’t series, answering the question: What if Joe Gibbs didn’t retire the first time? Well, he’d be “the greatest coach in the history of the game” (obviously).
    2. Went to Nashville to meet the Rivals folks, hang out with Clay Travis, speak at the NCAA Convention and sit down with the Double-A Zone for a five-minute video interview (recommended for those who love blogs, long answers, artful cinema).
    3. Hired a pair of top-shelf bloggers over at Yahoo! Sports: MJD on NFL and Darren Fauth on NASCAR (glass-cutting blog names and platform to come).

OK, enough about me. Go read Le Blog Sportif, where Chris is blowin’ up.

So will MJD follow you to Google Sports when you move there in 2 years?

Josh Centor was my homey first, Mottram.

      And don’t you forget it.

I think it’s your blatant self promotion and somewhat insidious self indulgence that makes me enjoy your work so much. And that’s a compliment.

Brinson,if that were true I would’ve pumped up item No. 3 a lot more than I did, but thanks nonetheless.

When the self-promotion is truly turned on, you’ll know it. Not while it’s happening, but forever afterwards when you think about that night. For me, the waterworks start whenever “Against All Odds” comes on the radio.
