Tuesday’s Basically Top Five Blog Links

    By Jamie Mottram | December 11, 2007

free-mike-vick.jpgBefore getting into the national stuff, let’s take care of some personal business. First, that new Yahoo! blogger I hinted at yesterday is Rod Benson, “The D-League’s Gilbert Arenas.” Second, on the DC tip, Capitol Punishment is underwhelmed by the Nats’ Lo Duca signing, the Wiz are good without Gil and the Skins have a 17% chance at the wild card.

    1. Free Mike Vick. Sure, in 18-23 months, at which time he won’t be in the NFL, especially if he “eats a lot of fried chicken and fries in prison.”
    2. Michigan’s offer to Miles. M Go Blog says one’s still on the table. Remember, M Go Blog broke the story of Carr’s resignation.
    3. Worst present ever. It’s a Todd Marinovich Raiders jersey! Someone get Straight Cash Homey on the line. Stat.
    4. American Gladiators returns. If the rumors are true, it’ll be awesome.
    5. Hilarious NBA names. We miss you, Shammgod. I miss you, Shammgod.

Update: While not a blog, Dave Zirin’s column on Vick is terrific; so reasonable it’s scary.

I’d rather this than a ‘Free T.I.’ shirt.

The new American Gladiators is going to be the best train wreck on NBC since the XFL…oddly enough they both had ties to Vince McMahon
