Thursday’s Basically Top Five Blog Links

    By Jamie Mottram | December 6, 2007

anna-rawson-got-legs.jpgThis is a revolutionary feature known as Basically Top Five. It’s totally different from and more refreshing than other links dumps such as The Roundup and Saint Andrew’s Net, and the name honors our friend Brian the Bull, who says “basically” and “top five” a lot. The former means he’s lying, and the latter means he’s embellishing. It’s your job to decipher which is which.

    1. Anna Rawson is all the rage. She earns her LPGA card and suddenly appears on every blog in the blogiverse. Of course, Chris found her three years ago. So … first!
    2. Stephen A. Smith is America’s worst sports announcer. Considering his commentary on my profession, the timing is perfect. Right, Skeets?
    3. Charles Barkley vs. Michael Savage! It’s old, but it’s good.
    4. Understanding the mid-’80s team music video phenomenon. A fresh one pops up every day. Case in point, the ‘88 Arizona Wildcats.
    5. ‘Tis the season for scantily clad WAGs. Merry Christmas, everybody.

      Yeah, Anna Rawson is nice.

Has anyone heard of this other new girl on the scene, Maria Sharapova? She’s supposed to be hot, but I’m not familiar. Could every blog on the web post a photo of her or something?
