Wednesday’s Basically Top Five Links
By Jamie Mottram | December 5, 2007
In blog news … Washington Post Wizards beat writer Ivan Carter steps his game up with a poignant piece on Antonio Daniels and company. Highly recommended. Also, Yahoo! moves on the blog front with Kelly Dwyer’s foray into NBA blogging. I’m a bit too close to it for an objective recommendation, but I hope you’ll enjoy it nonetheless.
- Detroit trades for Miggy, D-Train and short-term success. The first mega-deal of the week gives the Tigers a top lineup and provides The Dugout with fresh material.
- Stephen A. Smith doesn’t like blog people. The reactions are far and wide, but Fire Joe Morgan’s is my fave.
- Colt Brennan should win the Heisman. Even if the straw poll says it’s Tebow, we’re with June Jones on this one.
- Folks are cashing in on Sean Taylor. I’m not so naive that I don’t recognize his funeral program as a collectible, but this is too soon.
- “Kid Delicious” it is for Durant. I see this being a Blog Show t-shirt.

Surprised you haven’t commented on Wilbon calling Colt his “boy” on “Talking Points” on the washington post website. I’m glad he was willing to look past Brennan’s past as being (this) close to having to register as a sex offender, but didn’t mind dragging ST’s name through the mud.

Dwyer’s stuff is good, Jamie. Looking forward to more developments on the Yahoo! blogging front front.
