Beat Writer Blog Gems: Wizards as NWA, Brady Anderson Dancing With the Stars

    By Jamie Mottram | December 1, 2007

nwa-son.jpgNeither of these constitutes its own post, but both should be shared before getting lost in the weekend shuffle.

First up, covering the Wiz for The Washington Post, Ivan Carter on the youngsters:

Not a lot to update from the lockeroom this evening but I did catch a glimpse of Andray Blatche and rookies Nick Young and Dominic McGuire as they rolled in. They were wearing, and I swear this is true, matching Dickies pants and shirt combinations, you know, the kind you used to see cats wear in NWA and DOC videos back in the early 90’s.

Next, covering the O’s for The Baltimore Sun, Roch Kubatko on an old fave:

I texted Brady Anderson a few nights ago about the rumor that he was going to appear on “Dancing With The Stars.” His reply arrived around 4 a.m. and left no doubt that the rumor was unfounded.

I won’t provide a transcription, since it wasn’t a formal interview and I never indicated that we were on the record, but it was predictably hilarious and a tad graphic.

Ah, that’s the good stuff. Who said reporters don’t know how to blog?

Does DWTS test for steroids? I’m not sure Brady would even come close to the fame that has been achieved by the current crop of “stars”.

Did you ever see “Dr.” Dray Blatche’s closet?

      GANGSTA!
