Wednesday’s Basically Top Five Links
By Jamie Mottram | November 28, 2007
Today’s edition of Basically Top Five comes later than usual as I’m in LA while mourning the loss of one of our favorites. Speaking of, be sure to vote Sean Taylor for the Pro Bowl and buy some 21 tribute tees while you’re at it. Unless you’re Michael Wilbon, in which case you’re still finding ways to defend your commentary.
- Duke is pissed at ESPN. Not possible.
- Another bad ’80s team rap video exposed. The ‘86 Rams and their song, ‘Ram It’ (nothing sexy about that) are breathtaking.
- Torii Hunter struck his $90 million deal in a Del Taco. Not quite Chris Cooley trying to deposit $14 million at the drive-through, but still. Also, is Del Taco > Taco Bell? If so, I’m trying it while I’m out here.
- Emmitt Smith gets the KSK treatment. The word “definitive” comes to mind as Emmitt is so bad and Big Daddy Drew is so good.
- The inventor of Gatorade passes. Paying tribute to delicious drinks through exceptional commercials.
Bonus links: Toronto’s Jamario Moon has a story … Frank Reich for Zubaz … Chris Fowler on Nutt, busting, etc.

Del Taco is mucho bettero that Taco Bell. I would like to thank you guys for the work you have done covering the Sean Taylor tragedy. Being out in California, it is hard to find coverage that isn’t from ESPN and does not bash his character.
