Tuesday’s Basically Top Five Blog Links

    By Jamie Mottram | November 20, 2007

shawn-merriman-tko.jpgThis is a new, revolutionary feature known as Basically Top Five. It’s totally different from and more refreshing than other links dumps such as The Roundup and Saint Andrew’s Net, and the name honors our friend Brian the Bull, who says “basically” and “top five” a lot. The former means he’s lying, and the latter means he’s embellishing.

    1. Shawn Merriman gets jacked up by a wee man. This play and Lights Out’s overall struggle is the topic du jour, leading to speculation about his body type changing dramatically.
    2. Andrea Kramer fawns over Tom Brady. Maybe Zubaz Pants (great blog name) is being harsh, but I won’t judge. The Big Lead has more.
    3. An LA Times columnist goes to bat for the UCLA football coach. It’s as odd as it sounds, but Kurt Streeter is standing by Karl Dorrell.
    4. Boise State football > regular football. Those “Senator Craig Is a Vandal” shirts are hot, and I’m hoping they beat Hawaii on Friday.
    5. Josh Brown is a bad-ass kicker. Not only does he tackle Devin Hester, but he sells it with the celebration.

Bonus links: The Nick Young slam dunk campaign posterDurant really needs a nicknameNice hat, Mike LeachToilet humor!

Would you believe that is that exact same celebration I did after making Blog Show?

Senator Craig is a Vandal?! One of the greatest shirts at a college football game I’ve seen in a very long time.
