Thursday’s Basically Top Five Blog Links

    By Jamie Mottram | November 15, 2007

montana-young-walsh.jpgThis here’s the Basically Top Five sports blog links of the day. The reason they’re not more DC-centric (like the rest of Mr. Irrelevant) is because they’re serving a larger purpose for both Blog Show and Yahoo! Sports, both of which have a national focus. Anyway, expect the links to be here by 9 a.m. ET Monday-Friday if you’d like.

    1. Steve Young is about to flip out. Every Monday night the former great QB and current legit sportscaster is sandwiched between Stu Scott and Emmitt Smith. This clip, more than any other, depicts his struggle.
    2. It’s homo[A-Rod]ic! ESPN’s lead baseball promo was so odd it got picked by a college football blog. And, since it sounds like Rodriguez is re-upping with the Yanks, here’s a fun piece pitting A-Rod vs. Eckstein.
    3. Friday Night Lights to ESPN? I don’t care who airs it, so long as it airs.
    4. Meet college hoops’ Tim Tebow. Basketball is kind of a big deal in Syracuse, and freshman Jonny Flynn is making quite the impression.
    5. A Packer gets his package poached. An illustrated example of when Lambeau Leaping goes wrong. Predictably, everyone blogged about it.

You can just see Young thinking to himself, Joseph H Smith, TO was easier to get a word in edge wise then these two assclowns.
