Wednesday’s Basically Top Five Links

This is a new, revolutionary feature known as Basically Top Five. It’s totally different from and more refreshing than other links dumps such as The Roundup and Saint Andrew’s Net, and the name honors our friend Brian the Bull, who says “basically” and “top five” a lot. The former means he’s lying, and the latter means he’s embellishing.
- Youkilis shaves his goatee into a mustache. For a moment there, he looked just like great American hero Sgt. Slaughter. Sadly, the moment was fleeting.
- Indy radio guy calls Vinatieri’s kick “GOOD!” He actually did it thrice, making Colts fans almost as angry as Peyton.
- Choose America’s Sexiest Sportscaster 2. This isn’t a blog, but a lot of blogs are linking to it. Plus, it’s a strong field, and I’m looking to ASS 3 with DC-area lookers Lindsay Czarniak, Lisa Hillary and Dan Steinberg.
- Let’s handicap Carr’s replacements. With Michigan reportedly looking for a new coach as early as next week, the field goes from the obvious (Miles) to the not so much (Harbaugh).
- The college hoops style watch has begun. From a super ’stache to flaming hair to extra longpants, SI’s Luke Winn’s got you covered.
