Beer Decides Which NFL Stadium Is Best

    By Chris Mottram | November 7, 2007

steelersfan.gifSI.com released the results of their NFL Fan Value Experience survey, which (un)scientifically determined which franchise hosts the most kick ass games. Some of the factors they took into consideration are more irrelevant than this blog. Cost of a meal, for example. That’s what tailgating is for. And besides, food just slows down the alcohol from totally infiltrating your blood stream. Sure, you’re at the game to watch your team and talk some shit, but all of that — like most anything in life — is absolutely no fun unless you’re totally wasted.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to scratch all of SI’s criterion, with the exception of beer cost. Then, I re-ranked the teams based only on this most vital factor.

    The top five, in order:

    1. Chiefs: $3.75
    2. Steelers: $4.00
    3. Lions: $4.50
    4. Raiders: $4.50
    5. Four team tie (Jaguars, Broncos, Cowboys, Bucs): $5.00

And, the bottom five teams, in order:

    1. Chargers: $7.75
    2. Ravens: $7.00
    3. Redskins: $7.00
    4. Titans: $7.00
    5. Falcons: $6.75

So, is there some correlation between the awesomeness of a gameday experience and the price of beer? I’ve heard Chiefs and Raiders games are pretty crazy, but I can’t say for sure. What I can say for certain is the cheap IC brews at Heinz Field can only help to make the beautiful ladies of the Steel City appear almost decent. And decent is always good enough for me.

It should also be noted that the Rams sell the most expensive beer of any team at eight bucks a pop, but they are 24 oz., as opposed to the 16 oz. variety sold in the other stadiums. Does that make them better or worse? I’m not sure so I didn’t include them in either top five.

Update: From my roommate, who is the only reason I managed a ‘D’ in Trigonometry, “Rams would be somewhere in the middle, as $8 for 24 oz translates to 33cents/ounce or $5.33 for a 16 oz which I guess is standard size.  God I’m smart.”

You know what? FUCK SPORTS ILLUSTRATED!

28th? Are you fucking kidding me?

Glad the Giants and the Jets, both whom play in the EXACT same stadium,

They supposedly “judged” the teams in the following catagories:

      Tickets

      Food & Souvenirs

      Accessibility

      Tailgating

      Team

You would think the Jets would be ranked higher, since all catagories would apply the same, while in the past 10 years the Jets have a higher winning percentage, as well as more playoff appearances.

Its a well known FACT that everybody hates the Washington Redskins, and as a Washington Redskin fan I say……………

      Shut the fuck up already.

Oh and fuck the Eagles too.

$7.75 for a beer at the craptastic Murph(Qualcomm Stadium)? Thankfully I only have to pay $5 a beer in a DC bar to watch my Chargers get coached by a clown, see Rivers turn into the second coming of Ryan Leaf, and see LT’s prime years flushed away.
