Blog Show 28: ‘If It’s Yellow, Let It Mellow’

    By Jamie Mottram | November 6, 2007

Because Kissing Suzy Kolber is once again running away with the Weblog Award for Best Sports Blog, our considerable heft has now been thrown behind the chances of one Express & Star, a British newspaper blog so obsolete with regard to the competition that they’re currently in last place, 42 votes behind a blog that hasn’t made a post in two months.

I doubt they’re even aware they’re in the running for the same award that treated Mr. Irrelevant so rudely last year, but we’re casting our support behind their lot. So vote or die for Express & Star as it’s quite literally the un-American thing to do.

We understand the desire to root for the absolute underdog, we were hoping you’d endorse the LOCAL underdog, On Frozen Blog in the Web Awards.

I should have killed you when I had the chance.

I said on-air that the Express & Star has only made four posts ever. Not true. Rather, they have four different blogs under the same masthead, each with its own archive.

So I’m now supporting On Frozen Blog, “the LOCAL underdog!”

As long as KSK or Deadspin wins I’m covered.

Woo Hoo! Our first official endorsement…..

Yeah… like anyone is going to beat KSK or Deadspin.

As long as we beat the Formula One guys, I suppose.

Ah, the Express and Star — an excellent choice. Their coverage of the World Snooker Championships is not to be missed. You can rely on my vote, E&S!
