If There’s Grass on the Field, Play Ball
By Chris Mottram | November 2, 2007
Considering where the Nationals new stadium was just six short months ago, it is truly amazing that as of November 2, there is sod and grass on ground. We’re still missing that HD jumbotron, but I suppose an infield is slightly more important. Check out this photo of the stadium’s progress from Clark Construction’s site today:

Now that is a thing of beauty. Before you know it, you’ll be watching Chad Cordero blow saves and Nick Johnson suffer a serious injury from one of those right field upper deck seats.
And yes, that headline is also my life’s mantra. Hide your daughters.

Um, I was told there would be cherry blossoms?
Actually, that’s looking pretty, pretty good. And I think Wily Mo might be able to hit one out of the stadium to left.

Any odds on Dexter Manley getting tazered outside of the new digs?
