Boston Is Making Me Want to Cut Myself

    By Chris Mottram | October 26, 2007

Allow me to start by saying that I hate strongly dislike Virginia Tech. And yes, I was openly rooting against them at the bar last night, only because their fans annoy the shit out of me, and are EVERYWHERE in NoVA. But in hindsight, I’m not happy that B.C. beat them in what was probably the most painful loss in the history of athletics. And neither was the guy in this photo that Jamie took and titled “Ron Mexico, Infinite Sadness”:

This poor soul wandered into the bar after the game, and was more upset than when Michael told Jan he had to declare bankruptcy. Pounding tables, yelling obscenities, being a douchebag, etc. His sentiments are likely on par with those of my Hokie roommate, who sent me a happy email this morning and is surely having a great day at work (cheer up, it’s Friday, brah):

“That game was so fucking painful. As Pat says, typical hokie football. I’ve said it for years, they get so caught up in their own hype they forget to win games. With about 4 minutes left, it was like the hokies were busy celebrating on the sidelines and BC realized they had a chance to steal the game. That game was ours for the taking and we just blew it. There were a couple of bad calls, but we had every chance to win and we didn’t. As I was watching their comeback, I was in a state of disbelief. Fucking lame.”

Lame indeed. Now, I won’t argue that there weren’t bad calls against the Hokies (although I can’t recall any of the top of my head), but I believe Tech was given a free touchdown in the first half.

But back to my original point, which is I hate Boston and their fans. Please, join us in rooting for the Redskins to ruin their perfect little universe on Sunday. Things could totally turn around this weekend if the Rockies can take two, and Tom Brady breaks his fibula.

That is pretty lame, although this picture should be submitted for some type of national award.

Couldn’t agree more. Everything about Boston is putrid. I really feel bad for Tom O’Brien right now though.

Mexico’s George Michael head hang is superb.
