Train Wreck That Is MNF Rolls on
By Chris Mottram | September 24, 2007
As long as Tony Kornheiser is on Monday Night Football, the program will continue to be nearly unwatchable. Discussion of how horrible and off the mark ESPN is happens to be what Awful Announcing is for, but what occurred at halftime tonight is really MNF in a nutshell. They attempt, and fail miserably, to add “entertainment value” to the NFL, which is already the single most entertaining thing on the planet. Deciding to do PTI live on the field in a dome that is reaching about 5,000 decibels is pure genius. The result is 11 full seconds of airtime that has completely flatlined. Awkwardness follows:
The dead air left them with only 15 seconds to discuss the same exact topic I already saw them discuss on the 5:30 edition of PTI. Yet still, this was somehow less painful that Berman’s fastest three minutes.

As soon as I watched this, I wondered to my self…”self…how long is it going to take to get on a blog?” Apparently the answer was 30 minutes. Awesome job!

I don’t care how many mistakes there might be, I cannot endorse choosing Beerman over TK on any level.

Just so we’re clear, I said the halftime PTI was LESS painful than the fastest three minutes.
