Clinton Portis Must’ve Taken Econ 101

    By Chris Mottram | September 7, 2007

I’m not sure what the perception of Portis is from outside the Beltway, but I think I speak for all Redskins fans when I say that he is healthy and ready to play. We can also agree that holding him out all preseason was the right move. But now it’s regular season time, and the demand for CP is high, as 2-6 fully understands:

“It’s supply and demand,” Portis said. “The demand for me is high right now, and I haven’t supplied a lot. Hopefully I can start supplying and people will calm down.” … “Sunday, Sept. 9, FedEx Field, 1 o’clock, Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins,” Portis said with nod. “Clinton Portis will be there.”

Yes he will, and I can’t wait. I just know he’s fixin’ to supply us with another season like ‘05. He was healthy then and rushed for over 1,500 yards while capturing the hearts of a nation with his outstanding off the field personalities.

Yeah, I said “fixin’.” That’s how we talk in Virginia. It’s gangster. And for the record, I tried to take Econ 101 at Mason once. I got a “D” and promptly switched out of Business.
