It’s Good to Be Andy Roddick

    By Chris Mottram | September 3, 2007

roddicksdate.jpgAndy Roddick has had a stranglehold on the No. 1 spot in my personal All-Envy Team for several years now. He’s the best U.S. American at the sport that I love to play above all others and, well, my man’s got hoes in all sorts of area codes, if you will. He is once again proving this at this year’s U.S. Open, where — as The Big Lead points out — he’s been spotting dining with the smokin’ hot lady to the right of these words:

Joining him at dinner at Nobu Wednesday night was Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker. Also at the eclectic table were eight-time Grand Slam winner (and Roddick coach) Jimmy Connors, Dave Matthews Band electric violinist Boyd Tinsley and Plum media’s Tom Scott.

You can have Roger Federer’s 11 grand slam titles and his trifflin’ wife. I’ll take the super models and an occasional Legg Mason Classic championship.

Bonus: Check out 40 more photos of Brooklyn. You’re welcome.

Sure, she’s not bad for you and I, but for the most dominating athlete in the world, she’s not so nice.
