Yankees Love Them Some Chesney
By Chris Mottram | August 31, 2007
Country/pop superstar Kenny Chesney has been romantically linked to sexy athletes such as Peyton Manning, but it seems he may have redirected his man-love towards the Yankees. At last night’s concert at MSG, the ambiguously gay cowboy brought out some of the Yanks to sing some song I’m familiar with because my mom loves this crap:
At one point, he brought out Roger Clemens, Johnny Damon, and a couple of other baseball players I didn’t recognize. All the baseball players positively towered over Chesney and hogged the stage for a bit, Clemens lugging his kid around and making him high-five Chesney like twenty times. At the end of the show, instead of an encore we got five minutes of Chesney and Clemens signing autographs while his band, all of whom looked like casual-Friday office-workers, pounded out some generic frat-rock riffage.
There is also some bad video of the ordeal on the YouTubes. I can’t make out who the other Yankees on stage might be because it’s always the smartest people in the crowd who take these Pulitzer-worthy recordings.

Crap? I don’t think so. But, thanks for mentioning him on your blog. Mom
