Happy Birthday to FanHouse’s NFL Dept.
By Jamie Mottram | August 28, 2007
Over at my full-time J-O-B, FanHouse is celebrating the first anniversary of its NFL section. I was with them a year ago, following the hardest working, most rewarding summer of my career, and the evening of FanHouse’s first day was magnificent.
At home, reading posts by Stradley on Domanick Davis’ knee, Mantzouranis on Donte Stallworth to Philly, MJD on Kerry Collins’ latest gig and on and on, I was ecstatic to see the site actually working. The only thing I could do was email the whole damn crew, congratulating them on starting to realize our vision for the world’s best sports blog.

Fast forward 12 months, and well over 100,000,000 hits can’t be wrong. FanHouse is the most highly trafficked and ranked sports blog on the web, and it’s because of folks such as the aforementioned as well as Ryan Wilson, Michael David Smith, Sportz Assassin, Dan Benton, JJ Cooper, Enrico Campitelli and Dave Warner.
And the good news is it’s getting better all the time. Of course, that’s a quote from a Beatles song that may be about heroin, but heroin rocks, and so does NFL FanHouse. Bravo to their/our band of bloggers. They’ve earned it.

Congrats, though you still need an actual Bills writer. Having a Giants fan cover them is blasphemy.

If you’re going to mention Pigskin Bloggers Live, you probably need to include the phrase “for better or worse…”

Congrats. Having FanHouse around helps me — and thousands of others, no doubt — find stories I’d never see otherwise, and for that, I am thankful.
