D.C.’s Brunell Nightmare May Soon End
By Chris Mottram | August 20, 2007
Pro Football Talk has provided me with the best news I’ve heard since finding out John From Cincinnati was canceled (Note: weird for the sake of weird is shitty not “artistic”). Apparently, the ‘Skins are shopping Mark Brunell to the Falcons:
David Elfin of the Washington Times reports that the Redskins are believed to be talking to the Falcons about a trade that would send quarterback Mark Brunell to Atlanta.
Though the Falcons could choose to go with two signal-callers on the regular-season roster, it might be wise to add a veteran like Brunell. If Harrington isn’t effective, Brunell might be able to step in and salvage what otherwise would be a lost season.
Holy shit, there is a god. Please, please let this come true. And just for the record: Mark Brunell as your starting quarterback is the very definition of a lost season.
Update: Jason LaCanfora says there’s nothing doing here.

This news has given Jordan Palmer the erection of a lifetime.

If we had to let Palmer go to keep Brunell around, I’d probably just kill myself now.

I saw the highlights of JC injury and thought of another Redskins season with Brunie as the starter and now less than 48 hours later, Burnie might be out of town? I am sure it will not happen as it makes TOO much sense. Unfortunately, the front 7 is still in serious trouble against the run and rushing the passer. At Least BLoyd can rap.
