Pistol Pete Beats Kevin Grevey in Horse

    By Jamie Mottram | August 14, 2007

Here’s a rare treasure: Pete Maravich playing H-O-R-S-E with other stallions of the ’70s, namely George Gervin, Bob McAdoo and the 20th best Wizard/Bullet ever, Kevin Grevey. The awesomeness can hardly be comprehended, but it’s worth watching, if for nothing else than to pick up creative-yet-makable shots for your next game of H-O-R-S-E or P-I-G or whatever, whenever that may be.

Notable for DC natives is the presence of the namesake of Grevey’s, the closest sports bar near the house I grew up in and where my parents still live. Can’t say I’ve ever enjoyed a few pops there, because it’s a Bills bar, and that’s freaks me out. Seriously, the Bills? Were there Joe Cribbs fans running amok inside the Beltway 25 years ago?

Anyway, the above video was found at End of the Bench via Bethlehem Shoals at FanHouse, who also uncovers a vintage and stony Bill Walton clip.

Not a big fan of the Beef on Wecks? Those Bills fans are crazy but Grevey’s does have a great outdoor patio.

You can also go to youtube and find Grevey vs. Jo Jo White. Grevey won with a couple of good trick shots.

I just did an article on Grevey and the old Bullets.
