Ronnie Belliard Has a Big Bag of Tricks

There really isn’t much to say about the play Ronnie Belliard made for the Nats last night other than it’s absolutely incredible and you really MUST watch it. He just made me that much happier that the Nats locked him up for the next couple seasons (click photo to watch):

Play of the year? Just sayin’ …
And I think Belliard makes that play because of his girth rather than in spite of it. To be both a fat son of a bitch and a decent fielding 2B simultaneously requires stellar anticipation, hand-eye coordination and glovework, all of which were on display right there.
