A first round pick, a bit of cap space, and a young guy with a lot of hype coming into the draft who was only seeing 10 min a game in Atlanta. Nothing about this stops the Wiz from going out and getting an additional first round pick. I have a hard time seeing the downside.

I like the deal too. Probably should’ve said that in the post.

Alexei Kovalev to the PENS for a 7th rounder. I’ve got a bad feeling about this. Something along the line of GMGM trading away our future for a concussed Brad Richards who will not resign with the CAPS next season.

Full disclosure on my Crawford opinion – I’m a Xavier grad. But also a Wiz fan and I love the deal. Crawford needs to learn the pro game to an extent, but has all of Young’s scoring talent. Perhaps he’s a long term solution at two – maybe not. They gave up very little to get him when you think about it, so worth the risk.

He was playing ten minutes a game because he had Jamal Crawford, Joe Johnson, Marquis Teague and Bibby ahead of him at guard. Hawks never should have drafted him but might have done so to cover the loss of Joe Johnson – who they ended up paying 6 gazillion dollars to keep.

The Ovi shoot must have been scheduled for multiple locations because he was slated for my building that day, which was a gametime scratch. The potential for the shoot lead me to purchase my first piece of Caps gear in hopes of getting an autograph.

For the record, how much is an official replica sweater? A buck fitty. Who says Americans don’t know what suffering is?
