D.C. sports fan and digital media guy that's been doing this since 2004. Once threw a football further than Chris Cooley.

Trading for Oswalt would be moronic. Why would you give up all that young talent that was speculated? If it happened it would not surprise me and would continue with the infinite sadness that follows me as a D.C. sports fan.

How do you know it’s moronic if you don’t even know who will be traded?

How the f**k is wieters “last year’s version of Strasburg?” He was drafted 5th overall in 2007 and Strasburg was the #1 overall pick in 2009. Plus, wieters sucks.

Wieters is last year’s version of Strasburg in that he was MLB’s mega-hyped rookie.

Why was he the 5th overall pick then, and not the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th? Strasburg was the consensus #1 available.

Wieters stock was high coming out of Ga. Tech, but it soared as he tore up the minor leagues.

The orioles should be in the minor leagues. They’s probably actually reach .500

Nationals fans with an inferiority complex about the O’s are fucking retarded.

Strasburg’s stock was higher coming out of SDSU (number 1), and remained high during a blazing Minor League stint– a nearly unheard of Minor League stint. Strasburg didn’t just tear up the minor leagues, he owned AA and AAA. Even when he was ‘off,’ he looked better than any non major-leaguer on the planet.

I don’t recall Nokes, or Johnson, or Kendall, or one of the Molina sextuplets, or Pert Piazza going gaga over Wieters on national television. His was a city-based infatuation. I don’t care for Schilling, but his endorsement alone should be the difference in any Wieters-Strasburg comparisons (although, they may both be of Germanic descent).

“Nationals fans with an inferiority complex about the O’s are fucking retarded.”

Well put, Fuck you, it would be retarded if there was a single Nat’s fan who had an inferiority complex about the O’s. But I don’t think you’re looking at an inferiority complex in this one. You’re seeing Nationals fans who don’t want to be associated with anything on any other team. In this particular case, the Orioles and the Nationals are headed in two different directions. There are little to no similarities between the two front offices.

Since we’re all pscyhoanalysts here and are already talking about inferiority complexes, what about the headline above, “Nats catch Tim Lincecum on an off night, win 7-3.” Last time I checked, that article was primarily about knocking a two-time Cy Young winner out of a game. That’s good. And that’s positive. Oh, and that was the tone of the article. So when that article is linked and the Nats happen to “catch Tim Lincecm on an off night,” that’s a superiority complex?

    Fuck you, DC

There’s no complex. If there was one it definitely would not be an inferiority complex.

I do not appreciate having this shit organization constantly shoved down my throat, just like I’m sure you did not appreciate it when your dad constamtly shoved his dick down your throat.

That’s what the orioles represent… a nasty dick forcefully shoved down your throat.

He was picked 5th because of signability. Whether or not he would have been picked above Price is doubtful, but would have been entirely possible. Thinking about keeping on going…but you know what they say about arguing on the internet.

More importantly, Besnard Lakes was pretty good last night. The opener “Land of Talk” may have been even better. Also of note this weekend is Free Energy at RnR Hotel on Sunday, and the 9:30 club 30th anniversary show on Monday.
