Cerrato Takes a Bath on Great Falls Home

From Washingtonian’s Open House blog, last Thursday:

Former Redskins head of football operations Vinny Cerrato sold a Colonial in Great Falls for $1.9 million. Cerrato bought the five-bedroom, eight-bath house in 2004 for $2.4 million and originally listed it for $2.5 million. It has five fireplaces and a three-car garage.

The shrine to Dan Snyder probably didn’t help the resale value, AMIRITE?!

Now, I’m not one to laugh at the misfortune of others, but anyone selling a $2 million home should be doing alright for themselves. Plus, it’s Vinny.

Hopefully he moves far, far away, for his sake at least.

D.C. sports fan and digital media guy that's been doing this since 2004. Once threw a football further than Chris Cooley.

Poor bastard. I hope he’s got somewhere to go… maybe he can stay with Devin Thomas until he gets back on his feet.

He insisted on using his ‘expertise’ to personally appraise the house, overvaluing it greatly.

Then, not the least bit curious why other buyers weren’t as bullish on the property, Vinny hastily chose to trade away the deeds to 6 other houses to land this older one.

With no clue how rapidly his new acquisition was about to decline in value, Cerrato would later announce at closing that he was “100% certain” that he would remain in the house for the full 30 years of the mortgage.

Yeah, I know. This is forced/awful. But,

I heard there was a 10 year wait list for tours of his house but theres lots of “player ticket returns” available.

Landscaping is kinda shitty for being a $1.9 million house.
