Bryce Harper

Bryce Harper Cuts His Hair And Bloodies His Eye (PHOTOS)

I’m not sure what you call Bryce Harper’s famed haircut — the skullet, the muskrat, the brohawk — but he took a razor to the back, leaving him rattail-less for the first time as a big leaguer:

Approve. Elsewhere in Harper mythology, the wunderkind had a rough night at the dish, going 0-for-5 in his worst game since joining the Nats two weeks ago. It was so bad that after grounding out in the seventh he took his bat to the tunnel wall between the dugout and the clubhouse. Unfortunately for him, the bat ricocheted off the wall and onto his forehead/eyebrow area, leaving him bloodied and in need of 10 stitches. Good look, though:

It’s the new eyeblack. He hopes to play today, which is good of him, though maybe he could use a day off as his average has plummeted to .233 and he still hasn’t hit a HR through 12 games.

That’s okay, though, as the Nats don’t have anyone else to trot out there and won’t until Jayson Werth returns months from now. They’ve also won two in a row to maintain a half-game lead in the NL East. Fun season, so far.

D.C. sports fan and digital media guy that's been doing this since 2004. Once threw a football further than Chris Cooley.

Bryce Harper is an immature, hotheaded, player. Hes going to displace himself out of this league due to his “Happy Gilmore” state of mind. The Price is wrong BOB!!!!

Honestly i would much rather have the hated, lebron style hated, player playing for my team rather than another run of the mill no personality type. If you play as hard as this kid, and have more success than half of our outfielders at 19, you can be dickish if you so choose

At the end of the day you gotta like his enthusiasm. The best response I have seen so far was a Gus Frerotte reference.
