Nationals-Cardinals NLDS Game 2 Winners & Losers

I didn’t get to watch much of this, so add your own in the comments, but here are some labels from the Nats’ 12-4 loss at St. Louis.

Ryan Zimmerman and Adam LaRoche — Back-to-back jacks were nice.

Jordan Zimmermann — Seven hits and five runs in three innings. His second-worst start of the season. Not what the Nats needed heading into the Jackson-Detwiler portion of the rotation (or ever).

Craig Stammen, Mike Gonzalez and Sean Burnett — If the bullpen locked it down this would’ve been a ballgame. Instead, this trio gave up seven runs (six earned) in two innings of action.

Bryce Harper — Four strikeouts and one boneheaded play on the basepaths. The Ultimate Warrior-style eyeblack was nice, though.

  1. Winners:
Desmond – only player on the nats who has contributed offensively and defensively in both games.

Home Plate Umpire – for the second straight game, home plate ump has been wildly inconsistent with his balls and strikes
